The work covers raw material characterization, mechanical and mineral processing (GTK), leaching and bioleaching of target metals (VTT), and downstream solid\u2013liquid separation, as well as advanced separations in liquid media, such as ion exchange and emerging 4D scavenger technologies (LUT).\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The\u00a0theme\u00a0focuses on cases including\u00a0Rautuvaara\u00a0tailings and\u00a0Sokli\u00a0REE\u2011-rich materials, aiming to improve recovery efficiency of valuable metals and\u00a0demonstrate\u00a0scalable separation solutions.\u00a0The\u00a0theme\u00a0delivers the practical technologies and separation processes needed to recover valuable metals from mining side streams, thereby reducing waste, improving material efficiency, and enabling the circular\u2011-economy mining model to function in practice.<\/span><span
